On this page you will find all the information you need to understand our Watch Connect option, with which you can make/receive calls and surf from your Apple Watch, even when far away from your iPhone.

What do you need?

  • a Salt mobile postpaid subscription
  • an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16.5 or later
  • an Apple watch Cellular Series 4 or later with WatchOS 9.5 or later
  • a Salt MyAccount login (don't have one yet? click here)

Apple Watch Compatibility

  • Apple Watch Series 8 and Ultra require an iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16 or later
  • Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 require an iPhone Xs or later with iOS 17 or later

How to activate the Watch Connect option?

When pairing your Apple Watch to your iPhone

During the set-up of your Apple Watch, you will be asked if you wish to activate the mobile service. You will then be redirected to our Watch Connect option activation page.

In the Watch app of your iPhone

If you already have an Apple Watch Cellular paired with your iPhone or if you’d like to activate our Watch Connect option at a later date, you can do so in the Watch app of your iPhone.

Frequently asked questions

1. With which subscription is the Watch Connect option available?

The Watch Connect option is eligible with all Salt, Salt Young, Salt Max and Salt Digital subscriptions.

2. How can I activate the Watch Connect option in the Watch app of the iPhone?

  • Go into the Watch app of your iPhone
  • Select "Mobile Data" > "Set Up Mobile Service"
  • Follow the activtion steps
  • You're all set!

3. How many Apple Watch can be active on my subscription at the same time?

You can have up to 3 Apple Watch active at the same time on your mobile subscription.

4. What is the price of the Watch Connect option?

The Watch Connect option is available for CHF 5.95 per month for each Apple Watch activated, up to a maximum of 3 Apple Watch.

5. How does the Watch Connect option work?

The Watch Connect option is automatically renewed at the end of each billing cycle, unless you deactivate it. If you activate or deactivate the option during a billing cycle, you will still have to pay the full monthly fees.

6. Can I use my Apple Watch abroad?

The Watch Connect option currently does not support roaming. You will need to stay close to your iPhone to benefit from all the functionalities.
