Changes regarding replay

Over the last few years, the use of television has changed considerably in Switzerland. Replay TV has increased in popularity and channels are seeing a decline in advertising revenues. It is in this context that a new agreement concerning replay was concluded at the request of TV channels for the period 2021–2027.

This concerns all Salt customers and Swiss consumers who, in the past, had a TV offer allowing them to watch 30 hours of content (replay function) including the use of the «fast forward» function. Within the frame of this new agreement, it will no longer be possible to offer these two functions combined to the customers.

Salt TV subscribers who benefited from up to 30 hours of replay until now will no longer be able to fast-forward in the programmes when watching a show in replay or a recording. The replay duration (30 hours) offered to customers will remain unchanged.

Only the basic channels (e.g. RTS1, TF1, M6, France 2, etc.) are affected by this agreement. The «fast forward» function will remain available for the channels belonging to paying packages which include replay.

The «fast forward» function remains available as part of the paying 7-day replay option, at CHF 3.95/month. In order to activate this option, visit your My Account and click on the TV tab in the subscriptions menu.
