1. General provisions

These Terms of use (hereinafter “Terms of Use”) apply to the MySalt app (hereinafter “MySalt” or “App”) of Salt Mobile SA (hereinafter “Salt”). By installing and using the App, the customer accepts the Terms of Use.

The App can be obtained via an online app store (Google Play Store, App Store). These Terms of Use are not concluded between the customer and the online app store, but exclusively between the customer and Salt. At the same time, the customer accepts the general terms and conditions governing the purchase of the App from the online app store and the use of integrated apps such as Guuru.

2. Intellectual property and right of use of MySalt

All rights to MySalt remain the property of Salt. The user is granted a limited right of use. This App may not be reproduced or decompiled, either in part or in full. Salt is entitled to revoke the right of use at any time. Salt grants the customer a temporary, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the App. You have no right to make technical modifications to the App or to make use of the results of any such modifications. You may not distribute the App and its contents, logos or graphics in any way.

However, you are of course free to recommend MySalt so that others can install and use it.

3. Scope of functions, restrictions

MySalt allows customers to view their Salt products, subscriptions and services, to manage them (e.g. by making changes), to obtain information about their usage and to receive offers. The functions available to the customer may vary depending on the Salt product selected and the device used. To use the App, it is essential to have a device with one of the two latest versions of the iOS or Android operating system installed on it.

For reasons associated with the system, the information displayed (e.g. units consumed) may require a delay of several minutes to be refreshed, depending on the type of information. It is also possible that certain information about your account or subscriptions may not be displayed on MySalt.

4. Logging in

Once the App has been downloaded, the customer must log in using one of the available login methods in order to use it.

The login data is stored in the App for a certain length of time by means of cookies. This allows the customer to log in again automatically. If the customer wishes to ensure that they are not logged in automatically, they must actively log out of the app (My Profile -> Logout) or uninstall it.

They will not be logged out automatically if the device is switched off voluntarily or not.

5. Support

The online app store does not provide support for the App. If customers need support, they can consult the dedicated MySalt support pages on salt.ch.

6. Third-party services

Salt may integrate third-party services or links to third-party websites into the App. The use of third-party services or websites is governed by the general terms and conditions of the service providers and websites. These third parties are exclusively and directly responsible for providing support in relation to these services and websites.

7. Fees

The MySalt app is free of charge. Data transmission costs depend on the mobile phone service the customer uses to download or use the App.

8. Data protection

The processing of personal data is governed by the data protection statement.

When the Application is used, data (such as PDF files) may be transmitted in encrypted form to the customer’s mobile device, where it is stored in unencrypted form. This data is outside Salt’s sphere of influence and it is the customer’s responsibility to protect this data and any documents from malware etc.

The customer agrees that Salt may process data (e.g. operating system and App version) about the customer’s use of the App (e.g. how often the customer uses certain functions or visits certain pages). This data is anonymised.

Salt uses third-party cookies and tracking technology to ensure the proper functioning of the App. Further information about cookies can be found in the data protection statement.

9. Guarantee

Salt cannot guarantee the functionality of the App without interruptions or errors. In addition, Salt provides no guarantee regarding the functionality and security of third-party services and products integrated into the App.

10. Liability

Salt’s liability is limited to gross negligence and intentional acts. Salt accepts no responsibility for any lack of diligence by the customer and cannot be held liable for any damage caused by loss of data or by software that is not secured or backed up by the customer.

Third-party providers offering services and products in the App bear sole responsibility to the customer in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.

If the customer breaches the contract, they are liable for any claims made by third parties resulting from this breach. In the event of a complaint against Salt or the online app store, the customer releases the store and Salt from any claims by third parties.

11. Modifying and setting up the app; modifying the Terms of Use

Salt may modify the App, integrate or remove third-party services or suspend the operation of the App entirely at any time without prior notice. Salt may also amend these Terms of Use at any time. Depending on the changes made by Salt, the customer may be required to update the App.

The customer is free to delete the App at any time, immediately and free of charge.

12. Jurisdiction and applicable law

In the event of a dispute, Swiss law alone is applicable. The place of jurisdiction is Lausanne or Zurich; mandatory places of jurisdiction remain reserved.
