If so, provide the requested information and wait for your line to be activated. Don’t forget to enter your Salt mobile number to benefit from a fixed internet subscription. If you take out a Salt mobile subscription at a later date, go to your customer account to activate the discount. Activation takes between one and seven weeks, depending on the local fibre-optic network provider for the Fiber Box. Activation takes 24 hours for the Salt Gigabox.

 

The equipment you will receive

 

Do you have a fibre-optic connection? Salt will provide you with:

  • a Fiber Box X6 (including the latest Wi-Fi standard) with a power supply and a power cable;
  • a 5-m fibre-optic cable;
  • an Apple TV 4K (the connected TV from the Apple universe for your home);
  • an Apple touch remote.

If you choose the Salt Home subscription via 5G, the Fiber Box X6 is replaced by a Gigabox with a 4G/5G external antenna.

 

How to choose between a fibre-optic and an ADSL connection?

 

The type of connection is determined by your address. Broadband internet access depends on the infrastructure available in your place of residence. If you don’t have fibre-optic access in your home, Salt won’t offer you ADSL, but will suggest an ultra-fast Fixed Wireless Access connection. This offers a download speed of up to 1 Gbit/s over the 5G network and up to 400 Mbit/s over the 4G network.
